Project Description:
Mitigating Risk: Infusing Safety Across the Curriculum
Replacing the culture of blame with a just safety culture merits attention. This project will use simulations to increase critical thinking skills related to patient safety. Curricular enhancements will focus on improving students' analytical skills related to systems issues, multidisciplinary patient problems, and emergencies. Teaching strategies such as: problem based learning, reflection, journaling and case method approaches will be increased across courses.
