Project Description:
Integrating QSEN into the Competency Outcomes Performance Assessment Model
This project seeks to achieve excellence in implementing quality and safety competencies through an integrative model using standardized strategies in clinical, skills/simulation learning lab, and classroom teaching. The team seeks to integrate QSEN competencies into the curriculum using Lenburg's Competency Outcomes Performance Assessment Model as the framework. Working closely with the University of Colorado Hospital, the project will test innovations on a small scale within the worksite program. A key goal is to integrate skills and simulation within the context of clinical competency development ultimately leading to an interdisciplinary learning experience.
