Quality Improvement Worksheets for Teaching or Facilitating QI Projects in Academia or Practice
HISC activities and resources are intended to demystify quality improvement, that is, to convey what it is in a down to earth and direct way. There are three sorts of activities. 1. Assess My QI Skills; 2. Enhance My QI Skills, and 3. Plan and Assess My QI Project. You can start with any of these. Experience suggests it is best to have a particular improvement project you would like to work on in mind. Doing so can serve to ground your work and learning, and to drive and sustain your motivation.
AHRQ Quality Indicators Toolkit for Hospitals
The QI Toolkit is designed to help your hospital understand the Quality Indicators (QIs) from AHRQ and use them to successfully improve quality and patient safety in your hospital. The AHRQ QIs use hospital administrative data to assess the quality of care provided, identify areas of concern in need of further investigation, and monitor progress over time. This toolkit focuses on the 18 Patient Safety Indicators (PSIs) and the 28 Inpatient Quality Indicators (IQIs).
