QStudent #1: Patient Experience and Satisfaction

As we all know, patient experience and satisfaction is a top priority in healthcare and it really drives our practice.  We want our patients to have a good experience during their hospital stay, in hopes they will return for any healthcare services in the future.

So the question is: explain a time when you, a fellow classmate, or even a clinical instructor provided exceptional care, or was an advocate, for a patient. Maybe you went out of your way to do something for a patient and their family, or you had a difficult patient that may have had a bad experience in the past. You could also explain a time when you, a family member, or a friend was in the hospital and received extraordinary care while in the hospital.

Please keep your responses appropriate and do not judge another student’s opinion. Also please remember HIPAA laws. No names, birth dates, or other patient identifiers are to be used. We want to keep our patient’s information confidential.
