The Taking Action on Overuse Framework and Change Package.
After a year of research, we’d like to formally share our work and invite you to review it and share your thoughts with us.
Taking Action on Overuse is an evolving framework for health care organizations to engage their care teams in reducing low-value, unnecessary care and make those efforts last. It identifies evidence-based strategies for obtaining buy-in, motivating behavior changes, and providing the necessary support and infrastructure for health care providers to engage and lead their peers in making the changes that improve the value of health care.
Healthcare Improvement Skills Center (HISC)
HISC activities and resources are intended to demystify quality improvement, that is, to convey what it is in a down to earth and direct way. There are three sorts of activities. 1. Assess My QI Skills; 2. Enhance My QI Skills, and 3. Plan and Assess My QI Project. You can start with any of these. Experience suggests it is best to have a particular improvement project you would like to work on in mind. Doing so can serve to ground your work and learning, and to drive and sustain your motivation.
