Dear QSEN Community,
After closely monitoring the evolving situation with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the QSEN Strategic Board has approved postponing the 2020 Annual Conference to June 2-4, 2021. The Board made this decision after careful and thoughtful consideration of many factors, including the increasing number of cases of COVID-19, its impact on communities around the country and the world, the need for our nurses to be in their communities caring for patients, and the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, speakers, staff, and guests. If you registered for the conference, you will be receiving a full refund. Please cancel all hotel and travel reservations at this time.
The QSEN Institute and all the Regional Centers remain committed to providing quality and safety resources to faculty and RNs in practice and raising awareness of the importance of quality and safety. We will be communicating important conversations about our resources in our monthly newsletter.
Our sincere gratitude for all your dedication to quality and safety and your frontline leadership at this time. Across the country, nursing faculty are stepping up to teach virtually and nurses in practice are managing the crisis at the frontline. These are difficult times that demand endurance, innovation, and reflection. I am confident that nurses across the world will innovate and will emerge stronger with new ideas on nursing’s contributions to the health of the world. Let us continue with the spirit of the Year of the Nurse and Midwife to fuel our work ahead.
